Dog Swim 2026: We’re Making a Splash in Mississauga!

There are dog events… and then there are DOG SWIM events and his September, we’re so excited to be part of one!

On September 12, 2026, the City of Mississauga is bringing back Dog Swim 2026, giving local pups and their humans one last chance to enjoy the outdoor pools before summer officially comes to an end.

And guess what? Pups ‘n’ Kittens Pet Services will be there!

We’ll be setting up our booth at Lions Club Outdoor Pool, and we cannot wait to meet you, your pups, and all the amazing pet-loving families who come out to celebrate.

A Pool Party… For Dogs!

Imagine a warm September day, a bunch of happy dogs, outdoor pools, wagging tails, and absolutely no one worrying about getting their hair wet.

Okay… maybe the humans will worry about getting wet!

Dog Swim 2026 is a unique community event where dogs and their owners can enjoy the outdoor pools together before the season closes.

The event will feature five one-hour swim sessions, with up to 30 dogs per session, running between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. across the participating outdoor pools.
And while the dogs are busy living their best lives in the water, we're going to be right there cheering them on from the sidelines!

Come Find Us at Lions Club Outdoor Pool
If you're heading to Dog Swim, make sure you come say HI!

We'll have our Pups ‘n’ Kittens booth set up at Lions Club Outdoor Pool, and we're bringing some fun surprises with us.

Think:
  • Giveaways
  • Cool treats for your pups
  • Fun prizes
  • Lots of puppy-loving conversation

And, of course, we're always happy to talk about your pet, your family's routine, and how we can help make life a little easier when things get busy.

Whether your dog is a professional swimmer, a reluctant toe-dipper, or the type who sees a puddle and immediately has to investigate it… we'd love to meet them!

There's another reason we're especially excited about seeing everyone in September.

Back-to-school season is here.

Which means summer schedules are coming to an end, kids are heading back to school, parents are getting back into work routines, after-school activities start filling the calendar, and suddenly everyone's Google Calendar looks like it needs its own personal assistant.

And guess who notices the change? Your dog!

After a summer of extra time together, more walks, later mornings, and plenty of family activity, the sudden change in routine can be an adjustment for our pets too. That's where having a reliable pet-care routine can make a big difference.

A midday dog walk can break up a long day alone. A puppy visit can provide some much-needed attention. Regular walks can help your dog stay active and mentally stimulated while the rest of the family is busy with school, work, sports, appointments, and everything else September throws at you.

You don't have to do everything yourself.

Sometimes you just need another set of hands… or paws.

More Than a Business. We're Part of Your Pet's Community

One of our favourite things about events like Dog Swim is getting to step outside of our everyday routine and meet the people behind the pets we care for or hopefully meet some future furry clients!

We love talking to pet parents, hearing about their dogs and cats, swapping stories, and connecting with other local businesses who are just as passionate about animals as we are.

That's what makes local pet events so special. They're not just about promoting a business. They're about building a community and we’re proud to be part of the Mississauga pet-loving community.

So… Will We See You There?
If you're bringing your pup to Dog Swim 2026 at Lions Club Outdoor Pool on September 12, make sure you come find us!

Come for the swimming.
Stay for the treats.
Enter the giveaways.
Say hello.
And let your pup decide whether they're a Michael Phelps…or more of a “I'll just stand here and judge everyone from the edge” kind of dog.

We can't wait to see you!

And if you can't make it to Dog Swim, don't worry, we're still here helping Mississauga pet parents keep their dogs happy, active, and cared for as everyone's schedules get busier.

Summer may be winding down, but the adventures and the walks are just getting started.
